Job Search Tips Anyone Can Use Anywhere

1. Inform your contacts, friends, and family you are looking for work or contracts
2. Set up email notification alerts for certain keywords ( http://google.com/alerts )
3. Search job board sites ( Craigslist, Government Job Banks )
4. Write a blog on your area of expertise
5. Use social networking sites like Facebook to increase your personal network
6. Organize coffee-chats or chat-walks with fellow job seekers, then contact local reporters
7. Contact your local provincial representative and ask them to help you or your group!
8. It might be easier to find work for others. If so, offer that as a temporary service for others.
9. Learn Boolean search to find fresh job leads, or hire an expert if you can afford one
10. Think like a company and offer an incentive for others to help you find work.
